If The Battery In Your Truck Ever Dies, Just Hook Your Jumper Cables Up To This Blog

GOOD TIME ROCK!!!!!

"And my mind goes back to a girl I met some years ago who told me"

As you head out for July 4th to celebrate the fact you don't have to work on Monday by stuffing your face and getting stupid fucked up, remember this.....MUSIC is a MUST! as it will help enhance the fun and might jog your memory if you wind up in a ditch somewhere.  Either way take my advice and don't just put the radio on....do Pandora or a playlist but don't let the drunk woman with the USA bikini force you to listen to pop or country all weekend no matter how big her tits are..... and with that said I give you the playlist for the weekend......I have mostly Southern Rock but in my search I noticed some Classic Rock that is TIMELESS and seeing it rather than hearing it makes a big difference.

And most of these would fit perfect for Daytona to watch some racing but who the fuck cares....so sit back, drink a beer preferably a Miller High Life, drink some JD, smoke a joint or do ALL and ENJOY!!!

Rare Earth - Get Ready (1969)

When people ask me my FAVORITE bands I always forget HEART probably because I am burned out on the classics by them after growing up with them and working at a Classic Rock station and hearing them all the time.....BUT they are FUCKING INCREDIBLE and these videos prove that this song, while overplayed is a CLASSIC.   Also, "Crazy On You" and "Magic Man" are from the DEBUT album by them so they started out with a bang.... I saw them in 1979 when I was 10 at the Day Of Rock and Roll in the Superdome and I remember Nancy strumming that guitar and Ann's KILLER voice.....here ya go....BOTH videos KICK ASS

Heart - Crazy On You (Live 1977 on the Midnight Special)

I posted this because of the sound quality and Roger Fisher (Guitar) really does look like Luke Skywalker playing guitar in the back.  And some lady has pointed out his camel toe too also....LMFAO

Heart - Silver Wheels / Crazy On You (Live)

FUCKIN UNBELIEVABLE TO WATCH LIVE!!!!!!

Lynyrd Skynyrd - That Smell (1977)

One of the BEST drug tunes of all time...NO QUESTION!!!

"Whiskey bottles, and brand new cars
Oak tree you're in my way
There's too much coke and too much smoke

Look what's going on inside you"

____________________________________________________

People forget that .38 Special is Donnie Van Zant which is an offshoot of Skynyrd so they have that same sound....they rock!!

From the early days of MTV....and GREAT version of this song live....and KILLER CHEESY album cover

.38 Special - If I'd Been The One (1984)

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! Let's Go Back to My Room

Ok so I am in the mood for a quickie and after watching the Bourne Identity for the 4,756th time, I decided to post some good club tunes.....MOST OF THEM are dated but with current music in some sort of "gay"

"Uhn tiss uhn tiss uhn tiss" (SEE BELOW) beat....I had to show the good stuff.....

and if you don't know what the "Uhn tiss" beat is ....listen to this song and you will recognize it from almost EVERY Lady Gaga song or any club song.....

WATCH THIS.....

MALLRATS - Elevator Scene

and then watch this....

Bloodhound Gang - Uhn Tiss Uhn Tiss Uhn Tiss (Dirty Version)

"I got somethin' and it goes thumpin' like this
All you need is my uhn tiss uhn tiss uhn tiss"

I have no clue why popular music these days feels the need to tap into this beat like it did with Disco but it sells so lets burn it the fuck out.....

and that gay club beat is so 2005....see Madonna trailblazing as usual in this video....

Madonna - Hung Up (2005)

"and this song doesn't even have the beat as she mixes it to perfection"

Its Madonna who always LEADS not Follows like dumb fuckin Gaga
___________________________________________________________

.....now that we have THAT out of the way....for REAL MUSIC
Here is TWO videos for Paul Oakenfold's - Ready, Steady, Go
PLEASE watch them both....BOTH FRIGGIN INCREDIBLE....

if this song doesn't get you moving.....STOP READING and LEAVE THE ROOM NOW!!!

Paul Oakenfold - Ready Steady Go! (2002)

now most of you who know true club music know The Crystal Method but if you don't then all you know are the songs played on alternative radio by them "Trip Like I Do" and "Busy Child"....saw them at Lundi Gras 2010 in New Orleans at Ampersand with about 200 people and it was CRAZY COOL!!!!....and the show didn't start til 2am and best of all I got to hang with them talking music....

TO GET YOU STARTED.....the first song released by them....and STILL a CLASSIC beat

The Crystal Method - Busy Child (1997)

___________________________________________________________

Propellerheads - Take California (1998)

___________________________________________________________

And the last video needs a brief backstory ...if you have never seen this video you are about to be blown off your ass.....this is probably the best video ever made for a number of reasons.....I remember being high when at midnight on MTV in mid 90s they came on before this saying they would play it only at night.....because of being offensive......OFFENSIVE....IT HAS HOT NAKED WOMEN in it getting screwed....I couldnt believe they got away with playing it.....

PROBABLY WILL NEED AN ACCOUNT AT DAILYMOTION TO WATCH BUT WORTH IT

well here is the story of video:

"Prodigy - Smack My Bitch Up (video directed by Jonas Ackerlung featured a first-person point of view of someone going clubbing and indulging in large amounts of drugs and alcohol. Other content shown include the protagonist getting into fist fights with men, abusing women and picking up a lap dancer and having sex with her as well, many (if not all) of which is depicted explicitly. At the end of the video the camera pans over to a mirror, revealing the subject to be a woman. MTV only aired the video between 1 and 5 a.m due to the inappropiate matierial.  After one week, the very same television network banned the music video at NOW's request. The director got the inspiration for the contents of the video after a night of drinking and partying in Copenhagen"
