Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 2016

Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything.
Plato

OK so its Rock and Roll Hall of Fame time again and since RUSH got in I really haven't paid much attention....and the fact that 3 chord Green Day got in before Deep Purple kind of pissed me off.

If anyone remembers when they had CD stores in mid 90s to sell CDs I never forgot seeing over 20 copies of Green Day's "Dookie" CD which obviously was overplayed and tired.

I didn't see Green Day starting punk only being a better Blink 182.

And for the record the "American Idiot" album is brilliant by Green Day and they are talented but Hall of Fame I don't think so.

the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame since its inception has been kind of a joke with skeptical additions but STILL I wanted bands that deserved to get in years ago but sat until recently....KISS (2014). RUSH and HEART (2013)

and lets not forget Doobie Brothers, Thin Lizzy are still not in but Guns and Roses and Nirvana are....sorry as big an influence but from different decade.

Ok so this year is Deep Purple, NWA, Cheap Trick, Chicago, Yes, J.B.s, The Cars, Chaka Khan, Janet Jackson, Los Lobos, Steve Miller, Spinners, The Smiths and Nine Inch Nails with Chic appearing on the list for the 10th time.

YES but they won't get in now....but they took music to a whole new level

I think, fundamentally, music is something inherently people love and need and relate to, and a lot of what's out right now feels like McDonalds. It's quick-fix. You kind of have a stomachache afterwards.
—Trent Reznor, Salt Lake Tribune interview (2005)

always ahead of the curve.....
