In A World Of Human Wreckage----GUILTY PLEASURES Part DEUX

GUILTY PLEASURES part two (late 90s and early 2000s)

Here is the latest installment of Guilty Pleasures and this involves the late 90s and early 2000s.  This was around the time I had just gotten married and had my first kid, a boy so I was going through some serious life issues and music helped me through.  We also moved from New Orleans to Houston which was a HUGE move for me.  Some of these songs ROCK and some you might hate but remember they are MY choices and all have some kind of meaning in my life......many bands such as Slipknot, Disturbed, Foo Fighters and INCUBUS are missing, but here is ONE song that STILL rocks.....

Disturbed - Rise (2002)

.....and while I am not very big on the post grunge/alternative metal of this time....there are some gems here....ROCK THE FUCK ON!!

Ok so you have hopefully figured out that I have a warped music library since I go from Rock to Rap to Dance to Oldies to even maybe Country.  But whatever the case I have your interest and I thank you for it.  I have always said if my music in the order I arrange it gives you that tingle down low, my job is done.

My music is NOT for everyone and not all of you like what I like, but I just like to share what music gets me in that special place.  MUSIC is the only form that can touch you in places that you never thought existed.   Think of the FIRST time you were at a concert and the music just punched you in the chest or you caught yourself grinning and had no idea why.   And obviously, the pot has a lot to do with it.  Not all bands have this kind of power but bands like Tool, Rage Against The Machine and Phish come to mind.  The kind of concert that you went to not expecting much, but left a FAN.

Enough talking as I just felt like throwing out a bunch of songs that have touched me either by making me laugh hysterically at them or reminding me of a time good or bad in my life.  And some of these songs helped me get through some rough times in my life so if you laugh or make fun, I will kill you. I'm just kidding but I will hurt you with words.  Everyone is entitled to an opinion.  I hope you get a laugh at some of these or even a good reminder of past things....You will also see some repeats from past blogs but I like them so much they have to be HERE of course....

and they are MY guilty pleasures so you might not get the same effect .......and plan on this thing going sideways with being a bunch of different songs all together in one place....

HERE GOES...and look out for CLASSICS by Stevie B, Doug E Fresh and Sammy Johns (TRUST ME they are sing alongs)

What a great time to be young and in love...

This song brings me back to warm summer nights under the stars, laying on the hood of my first car, this song on the radio, me and my girl, looking up at the sky, talking, planning, dreaming, and most of all, just being in each others arms...
My heart aches for that moment again, all these years later...
Love the one you're with with all your heart every day, because in the blink of an eye they could be gone. Cherish every second..."_____________________________________________________
