Fade to Black --- RIP To Music Legends

"If I don't see you again in this life, I'll see you in the next, don't be late"
Last words before Stevie Ray Vaughan walked off stage 8/26/1990 - he died on 8/27/1990

I could not help but to reblog this tribute to some phenomenal musicians whose time passed way too soon.....
UPDATES on BOTTOM (2016 to 2018)

BB King (1925 -2015)

Here is BB at 62 performing with U2 during the huge Joshua Tree tour.

BRILLIANCE in the way he plays so smooth and carries notes....ENJOY

Here is a SMALL tribute to those musicians who were BRILLIANT during their time on earth.  Here is the comprehensive list compiled by a blogger (thomas10) and a very good one at that.  I missed a bunch until I read this.
...and NO I will not have Cobain or Winehouse on here because I think they were both groundbreaking but not to the level of the following. I wanted to single out my personal favorites and  I only attached videos to some as they were either a lesser known performance or just an incredible performance that needed to be shared...... And with all much due respect to the  musicians who died,  you will never be forgotten and we have your music to live through forever. ENJOY and remember the past is prologue.

Rhett Forrester (1956- 1994)

Mark Reale (1955-2012)
Lead Guitarist of RIOT

Mark Reale of the band RIOT died 3 years ago today.  He, along with Rhett Forrester were the reason why RIOT was such an underrated band in the 80s.
So fucking tragic how Lead Singer Rhett Forrester died.
From Wiki: "Rhett Forrester was shot and killed in Atlanta, Georgia on January 22, 1994 at the age of 37 after he refused to give up his vehicle in an attempted carjacking. His murder remains unsolved."

Just listen to the vocals and guitar....Not a good copy but just LISTEN.....and TURN IT UP!!!!!!

Stevie Ray Vaughan  (1954-1990)
On the morning of August 26, 1990, Vaughan told his band and crew members about a horrible nightmare in which he was at his own funeral and saw thousands of mourners. He felt "terrified, yet almost peaceful." Backstage after the show that evening, the musicians talked about playing together again, particularly with Eric Clapton for a series of dates at London's Royal Albert Hall in February and March 1991, as a tribute to Jimi Hendrix. Moments later, Peter Jackson, Clapton's tour manager, said that the weather was getting worse and they had to leave soon.
According to Double Trouble drummer Chris Layton, Vaughan's last words to him were, "I love ya.

Bon Scott (1946-1980)
Lead Singer of AC/DC
Malcolm Young (1953-2017)

Throughout 1979, AC/DC had been a band on the rise. Highway to Hell, their seventh album, had truly put them on the map, especially in America. The accompanying tour had also proved to be a huge success. On Sunday, January 27, 1980,  the final show of the Highway to Hell tour took place at the Gaumont Theatre in Southampton, U.K. This would also prove to be Bon’s last show.

What remains certain: One of the most dynamic front men in rock and roll history was gone.
