COVER SONGS Part 1

This probably won't be a HUGE list because there are just way too fucking many cover songs out there so I have selected the ones that HIT ME either in a good way or bad way. And I have placed them next to the original to let YOU be the judge of which one is BETTER.  In some cases, the COVER is better than ORIGINAL but in other cases, its just a bad replay of a GREAT SONG.  


Even, Bob Dylan considers Jimi Hendrix's "All Along the Watchtower" better than his.  And we have ALL heard "You Really Got Me" from Van Halen but did you even know the Kinks did the original.....Probably NOT.


And if you are going to cover a CLASSIC, at least change it to make it your own DON'T do like fucking Korn did on "The Wall" and play it almost exact. That's just fucking stupid, hence the name KORN. Side note I have a friend, stripper who has a KORN tattoo right above her ass.  Bet she is regretting that.

.....I happen to like the Love and Rockets bass line and Orgy take but whos counting....and yes "911 is a joke" by Duran Duran? is horrible and i dont even have to listen to know and then "Faith" by Limp Bizkit because Fred Durst....now we OFFICIALLY begin

ALSO, if a newer song gets panned I put a song that better defines these bands who were better staying away from cover songs.....AT THE BOTTOM OF PAGE....I criticize the covers by these bands but they almost all have their own material thats better

VERDICT - METALLICA as this is by far one of my FAVORITE Metallica songs and since its a tribute to Black Sabbath.....KILLER!!!!

VERDICT - PUSH on this one as Linda Ronstadt's version is KILLER and CLASSIC but Van Halen II is the BEST VH album and those notes at the beginning that slowly fade on album version are KEY.....
