LSU 12-0 We're takin' over this town

It's the weekend and time for 12-0 LSU Tigers.....let me say that again.....The 12-0 LSU TIGERS to travel to Atlanta to take on Georgia for the SEC Championship.

As an LSU alum, it's unfathomable to see the Tigers doing this well but they are and I am absorbing it all.  When the year began, I thought LSU would be good but not THIS GOOD.  LSU fans used to worry about our offense because our defense was always good, but this year it's the other way around.

JOE BURROW IS A GOD AT LSU

And as far as Joe Burrow aka Burreaux goes, he's way past legend status and will never pay for anything ever again in the state of Louisiana or whenever he runs into an LSU fan anywhere else in the world.

It's almost like destiny that Joe Burrow has a last name that you can change to fit the GEAUX TIGERS narrative.  Who else could change the name to BURREAUX but Joe....he is simply amazing.

Also, cheers to the Louisiana 9's in Brees and Burrow.

SO with that said......put these tunes on.....grab some High Life Ponies, Fireball and Jack Daniels....drop some BBQ on the grill and get ready to ROCK!!!

I threw this blog post together kind of quick but enjoy the tunes....

AND now for the drunk fans...

GRAB A HELMET and GET IN THE GAME!!

These lyrics sum up LSU traveling to Atlanta to knock out Georgia

Under the lights where we stand tall
Nobody touches us at all
Showdown, shootout, spread fear within, without
We're gonna take what's ours to have
Spread the word throughout the land
They say the bad guys wear black
We're tagged and can't turn back

You see us comin'
And you all together run for cover
We're takin' over this town

Here we come, reach for your gun
And you better listen well my friend, you see
It's been slow down below,
Aimed at you, we're the cowboys from hell
Deed is done again, we've won
Ain't talking no tall tales friend
Cause high noon, your doom
Comin' for you we're the cowboys from hell

Pillage the village, trash the scene
But better not take it out on me
Cause a ghost town is found
Where your city used to be
So out

PANTERA " Cowboys from Hell"

NOW WAKE UP!!!!!

Hopefully you've drawn some attention...now you need to keep them there.....

I love my TIGERS fans, but yes many of the fans have never stepped foot on campus......

3rd beer time....

better not run out of beer....

AND NOW ITS TIME TO EAT.....

NOTHING like a cover of a classic by Metallica to help you walk into a game....

AND LISTEN TO THIS.....

OK I am done.....and as always......LIVE, LOVE, LAUGH and most of all be fucking careful

CHEERS !!!!!

Have a GREAT WEEKEND!!!

DEF LEPPARD Hall of Fame

It's a good morning on Friday and a good day for music as one of the bands I grew up with is going in the Hall of Fame.....DEF LEPPARD

I will say this I can truly remember the first time I heard them and have been with them ever since.....ok I lied I lost interest in late 80s early 90s but I STILL rock the 1st 4 albums from time to time.  Also, I have only listed the 1st 4 albums here because it is my blog and I can do what I want.

Here is a brief history:
Def Leppard are an English rock band formed in 1977 in Sheffield part of the new wave of British heavy metal movement which included Iron Maiden, Girlschool, Grim Reaper, Saxon, Motorhead and many many others.  (NWOBHM)

The band's strongest commercial success came in 1983 as the album Pyromania was certified diamond (10× platinum), making Def Leppard among the most popular music groups at the time.

Def Leppard have sold more than 100 million records worldwide.  Def Leppard are one of only five rock bands with two original studio albums selling over 10 million copies each in the US, alongside Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and Van Halen. Both Pyromania and Hysteria feature in list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time

Since 1992, the band has consisted of Joe Elliott (lead vocals), Rick Savage (bass, backing vocals), Rick Allen (drums, backing vocals), Phil Collen (guitars, backing vocals), and Vivian Campbell (guitars, backing vocals). This is the band's longest lasting line-up.

In 2018 Def Leppard and Journey toured together including 10 dates in baseball stadiums, a first for the band, with special guests, Cheap Trick. The tour was highly successful, as the bands played in front of more than one million fans in North America in just 3 months, marking the tour out as one of the most successful in 2018

On 9 October 2018, Def Leppard received an induction nomination from the Rock Hall of Fames I
The current lineup of the band, along with past members Pete Willis and Steve Clark, will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

On Through The Night (1981)

My first taste of Def Leppard from my neighbor down the street and STILL one of my favorite Def Leppard tunes.

Def Leppard - Rock Brigade(1980)

______________________________________________________________________

High 'n' Dry(1981)

and MY FAVORITE Def Leppard tune of all time....Let it Go

Def Leppard - Let It Go (1981)

Def Leppard - Bringin' On The Heartbreak (1981)

And after this album one of the founding members of Def Leppard, Pete Willis was replaced during the recording of Pyromania due to excessive drinking hampering his guitar playing.  He was replaced by Phil Collen and Def Leppard went on a meteoric rise

Pyromania (1983)

In 1983, Def Leppard released the now DIAMOND album Pyromania.  What a gem!  (insert I am an idiot joke here)

I mean this album exploded and everyone was wearing British flag tshirts and shorts.  And I just noticed and am quite surprised no one after 9/11 complained about the album cover.....being it had nothing to do with 9/11 but people today are always looking for something to bitch about.....

back to the music...enjoy

Def Leppard - Photograph (1983)

Def Leppard - Too Late For Love (1983)

Def Leppard - Foolin' (1983)

Def Leppard - Rock Of Ages (1983)

On the afternoon of 31 December 1984, Allen was involved in a car accident.  He was thrown from the car because his seatbelt had been improperly fastened, causing his left arm to be severed.

He was never replaced and became the now famous one-armed drummer we know today.

Hysteria (1987)

After the success of Pyromania, Def Leppard released Hysteria in 1987. Def Leppard's best-selling album to date, selling over 25 million copies worldwide, including 12 million in the US, and spawning seven hit singles

Def Leppard - Rocket (1987)

My SECOND favorite song by them....no clue why...maybe its the jam at the end

Def Leppard - Love Bites (1987)

Def Leppard - Animal (1987)

Def Leppard - Armageddon It (1987)

Def Leppard - Pour Some Sugar On Me (version 1: UK concept)(1987)

Steve Clark

In 1991 principal songwriter and lead guitarist Steve Clark died at the age of 30 and was replaced by Vivian Campbell in 1992.

I never like Pour Some Sugar On Me.....too pop

Anyhoo....have a good weekend

Geaux Tigers in the tourney

I am going to boil some crawfish
